Job Description

Field Supervisor

Robbins Recruiting has partnered with a trusted restoration contractor who has worked with thousands of property owners to restore their windows, roofing, and siding while delivering value, safety & peace of mind. They are looking for a Field Supervisor and Window Measurement Specialist to oversee field operations for roofing, siding, and window projects while performing accurate window measurements for custom orders. This role serves as the primary field representative and customer advocate, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction experience, strong leadership abilities, advanced measuring skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, customers, materials, and project timelines. This position requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working in the field, conducting inspections, climbing ladders, walking roofs, and remaining onsite throughout project execution to support crews and ensure successful project completion.
Field Operations & Project Supervision
  • Serve as the primary field contact for homeowners, subcontractors, sales teams, and project coordinators.
  • Supervise roofing, siding, and window installation projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure subcontractors understand project scope, specifications, and customer expectations before work begins.
  • Monitor workmanship and enforce quality control standards.
  • Maintain subcontractor accountability and communicate performance feedback.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with homeowners and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and facilitate service, warranty, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Call for inspections and ensure projects are inspection-ready.
  • Recommend process improvements and SOP enhancements to increase efficiency and profitability.

Window Measuring & Project Scoping

  • Perform accurate interior and exterior window measurements for custom window orders.
  • Read and use measuring tools accurately to 1/16 inch.
  • Verify dimensions, installation requirements, and site conditions prior to ordering.
  • Identify structural concerns and potential installation challenges.
  • Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Assist with project scoping, estimating, special bids, and order verification.
  • Communicate change orders, warranty issues, and measurement updates.

Material & Equipment Management

  • Verify delivery accuracy, quantities, and material condition.
  • Coordinate material staging and project logistics.
  • Operate construction equipment as needed, including telehandlers and boom lifts (preferred).
  • Maintain measuring tools, equipment, and company assets in proper working conditions.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout all project phases.
  • Act as a customer advocate by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers, crews, sales teams, coordinators, and management.
  • Provide regular project status updates and documentation.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections and ensure compliance.
  • Promote a safe and professional work environment.
  • Ensure company branding and appearance standards are maintained on all jobsites.

Documentation & Technology

  • Capture high-quality before-and-after project photos.
  • Utilize project management software, mobile applications, and company technology platforms to manage projects, schedules, documentation, and communication.
  • Maintain accurate digital records, measurements, inspection reports, and project notes.
  • Prepare damage reports, service closeouts, and performance documentation.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, and other construction management software effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in residential exterior construction, including roofing, siding, windows, or related trades.
  • Minimum 2 years of construction management, field supervision, or project leadership experience.
  • Ability to accurately read and record measurements to 1/16 inch.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, building codes, and installation practices.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and managing field operations.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with window measuring and installation.
  • Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and inspection reports.
  • Knowledge of project estimating and material ordering.
  • Experience operating telehandlers, boom lifts, or similar equipment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturer installation specifications and warranty requirements.

  • Ability to travel between jobsites as required.
  • Ability to remain onsite during active project operations, including extended workdays when crews are working.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

This position combines field and office responsibilities, with the majority of time spent at active jobsites. Work hours may extend beyond standard business hours depending on project schedules, customer needs, weather conditions, and crew activity. The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work long hours when projects require onsite supervision and support.
