Position Overview
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the facility, including manufacturing, office, and common areas. This position performs routine cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping duties while ensuring the facility is well-maintained and presentable for employees, customers, and visitors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
Essential Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
Dust furniture, equipment, workstations, and other surfaces.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, breakrooms, and common areas.
Clean and sanitize breakroom tables, chairs, counters, appliances, and floors.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
Follow established safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Maintain work areas and storage locations in a clean and organized manner.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or facility issues to management.
Assist with facility housekeeping projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with employees, visitors, and customers.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures, policies, and safety requirements
