Position Overview

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the facility, including manufacturing, office, and common areas. This position performs routine cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping duties while ensuring the facility is well-maintained and presentable for employees, customers, and visitors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Essential Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.

• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.

• Dust furniture, equipment, workstations, and other surfaces.

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, breakrooms, and common areas.

• Clean and sanitize breakroom tables, chairs, counters, appliances, and floors.

• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.

• Follow established safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Maintain work areas and storage locations in a clean and organized manner.

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or facility issues to management.

• Assist with facility housekeeping projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interact professionally and courteously with employees, visitors, and customers.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures, policies, and safety requirements
