Director Governance Solutions, Business Development & Account Growth

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director – Governance Solutions, Business Development & Account Growth based in Australia.

This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of enterprise governance consulting and commercial growth, driving strategic expansion across complex client environments. You will shape and grow high-value relationships across vendor management, third-party risk, and governance transformation programs, working closely with enterprise clients across Australia. The role blends business development, account leadership, and advisory influence, requiring both commercial acumen and deep governance expertise. You will partner with delivery and consulting teams to design solutions that solve real regulatory, operational, and risk challenges. Operating in a highly client-facing capacity, you will engage with senior executives across procurement, IT, risk, and finance functions. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences long-term client outcomes and enterprise transformation success. The environment is fast-moving, collaborative, and built around large-scale managed services and advisory engagements.

Accountabilities

You will be responsible for driving growth across enterprise governance solutions, combining new business development with strategic account expansion activities. You will identify and pursue new opportunities while deepening existing client relationships and ensuring long-term commercial success.

  • Drive new business development by identifying, qualifying, and progressing enterprise governance opportunities across Australian markets.
  • Expand existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling governance, TPRM, procurement, and vendor management services.
  • Build and maintain strong executive relationships across procurement, IT, legal, risk, compliance, finance, and business operations stakeholders.
  • Lead proposal development and support end-to-end pursuit activities for complex engagements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through governance, risk, supplier, and operating model challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure successful engagement execution, client satisfaction, and measurable outcomes.
  • Participate in governance forums, executive meetings, and account planning sessions to strengthen alignment and identify growth opportunities.
Requirements

You bring extensive experience in outsourcing, managed services, or consulting environments, with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and managing senior client relationships. You are commercially driven, strategically minded, and confident operating at executive level across complex stakeholder ecosystems.

  • 15+ years of experience in outsourcing, managed services, or enterprise consulting environments.
  • Proven success in business development, deal shaping, and closing large, complex service engagements.
  • Strong understanding of vendor governance, third-party risk, procurement, and enterprise operating models.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong consulting and advisory skills with the ability to translate complex client needs into structured solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Based in Australia with willingness to travel up to ~30% domestically.
