Job description:
- Schedule: 4 to 5 days Per week (1-2 Saturdays per month)
- Location: Santa Cruz County
- Required: CA Dental License
- Sign On/Relocation: $5,000.00 Sign On Bonus and up to $5,000.00 Relocation Bonus
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Lead Dentist, performs patient care, treatment planning and referrals.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
• Coordinates the implementation of dental functions to meet patient care needs and industry and agency standards
• Appraises patient dental needs and correctional methods.
• Provides dental services to patients, including the application of fillings, extractions, x-rays, restorations, surgery, and dental prostheses, as appropriate, and diagnoses and treats oral lesions.
• Reviews rules and standards and may recommend changes in departmental policies and procedures, as appropriate.
• Supervises dental assistants at chair side to ensure the application of proper dental techniques and methods.
• Maintains patient records in chart of all dental services rendered.
• Attends doctor’s meetings.
• Consults with patient physician where appropriate.
• Complete periodic chart reviews
• Other duties as assigned
Education, Qualifications, and/or Experience
• Must possess a valid and unencumbered dental license from the Dental Board of California
•Significant experience with surgery and dental prosthetics preferred
Skills/Specialized Knowledge
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to be creative, well-organized, detail oriented, flexible and self-starting.
• A compassionate style of management and commitment to develop team involvement.
