Job Title: Cook
Location: Monticello, Illinois
Department: Food Services
Position Type: Full Time 30 hours
Schedule: Varying 8- or 10-hour shifts ranging from 5am to 6:45pm. Rotating (between 5 total cooks) Weekends and Holidays (12-hour shifts 6am-6:45pm) The schedule is put out four weeks at a time.
Salary Range: $18.20-$22.75

Job Summary:
Kirby Medical Center is looking for a Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be able to teach and build the culinary skills of your current production staff (cooks, cold food prep, and food service techs) and maintain a well-trained and driven team that produces high-quality food.
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to set up an action station daily that demonstrates your culinary talent, creativity, and customer service skills.
- All knife skills and all cutting techniques.
- Recipe editing, costing and forecasting capabilities.
- Team player, team builder, and team leader.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited culinary program preferred.
- Certified Food Protection Personnel preferred
- ServSafe or Food Safety Manger certification required
- Allergen certification required
- Food Handler certification required
