Fluid Life is seeking a Laboratory Sample Processing Clerk to join our Edmonton laboratory team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to gain hands-on experience in a modern, ISO 17025-accredited laboratory.
As part of our laboratory operations team, you will play a critical role in the receipt, preparation, processing, and management of thousands of lubricant, fuel, and coolant samples received daily from customers across North America.
What You'll Do
As a member of our laboratory support team, your responsibilities will include:
Sample Processing & Laboratory Support
Receive, sort, and log incoming samplesPrepare samples for laboratory testing and analysisPerform routine subsampling of lubricants, coolants, and fuelsAssist with reagent preparation and basic laboratory processesSupport routine laboratory activities including filtration and sample preparationAdministrative & Data Management
Enter and verify sample information accurately in laboratory systemsConfirm billing and sample documentation requirementsMaintain sample archives and recordsCoordinate sample storage and disposal proceduresComplete administrative tasks to support laboratory operationsQuality & Safety
Adhere to strict quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) proceduresFollow ISO-accredited laboratory standards and protocolsComply with all health, safety, and environmental requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentPerform additional duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalentStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Windows applicationsStrong work ethic and reliabilityPositive attitude and willingness to learnAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamPreferred Attributes
Interest in laboratory, scientific, or technical workPrevious experience in data entry, sample handling, manufacturing, or laboratory environments is an asset, but not requiredWhat You'll Gain
