Additional Information: Corrigan – Who We Are:
We are hiring both an Apprentice Electrician and a Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The selected candidates will assist with or perform the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and systems in buildings and facilities, based on experience, licensing, and assigned responsibilities. Journeyman-level candidates may also provide guidance and oversight to apprentice electricians. These are full-time, non-exempt positions reporting to the Master Electrician.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with or perform installation and repair of electrical systems based on position level, licensing, and assigned responsibilities.
• Install conduit, wire, panels, lighting, outlets, breakers, and complete systems under appropriate supervision when required.
• Ensure electrical work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, and company standards.
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs, replacements, or additional troubleshooting are needed.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
• Must be able to accurately account for materials used on projects.
• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to handle high stress situations and frequent interruptions.
• Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times.
• Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.
• Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous conferences.
• Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.
• Perform any duties as may be assigned.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience/Education:
• We are hiring for both Apprentice Electrician and Journeyman Electrician positions. Journeyman candidates must have completed a formal apprenticeship and possess a valid Journeyman Electrician’s license. Apprentice candidates should be enrolled in or willing to participate in an approved apprenticeship or training program.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and wiring required; extensive knowledge preferred for Journeyman-level candidates.
• Ability to use test meters and diagnostic equipment; proficiency preferred for Journeyman-level candidates.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have experience in explosion proof systems and fueling stations.
