Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated sales director to lead our business development efforts throughout North America. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth throughout the Fracht network. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of international logistics, strong client relationships, and a proven track record in a similar role. This role will focus on expanding market presence, enhancing customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals without direct management responsibilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry partners.
  • Address and resolve client issues and concerns promptly.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales initiatives with market demands.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and generate new business leads.
  • Analyze sales data and generate reports to track performance and inform decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a strong professional network within the logistics and supply chain industry.
  • Ensure pricing strategies are competitive and profitable.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Communicate sales goals, strategies, and performance updates to senior management

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of global logistics and supply chain management.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Safely and successfully performs the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged period of time in office environment, desk setting
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
