Job Description

Position Summary

The Director of Construction is responsible for leading the execution of all new restaurant builds, remodels, and large capital projects for corporate locations. Also, lends technical assistance to franchisee projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with Twin Peaks' quality and operational standards.

The Director of Construction partners closely with Design, Facilities and Operations to oversee the full construction lifecycle—from pre-construction through final turnover—while maintaining strict control over timelines, costs, and quality. Must work with developing franchisees on a limited basis to share knowledge, budgeting and best practices

Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction Project Management

· Lead all phases of construction for new store openings, remodels, and renovations.

· Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.

· Oversee general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors across all active projects.

· Track construction progress and proactively address delays, risks, or cost overruns.

Field Execution & Quality Control

· Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to construction standards, design specifications, and brand expectations.

· Ensure all builds meet safety requirements, building codes, and company standards.

· Partner with Operations and Facilities to ensure restaurants are delivered ready for successful openings and continued operation.

Budgeting & Cost Management

· Develop and manage construction budgets across all projects.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and brand integrity.

· Review bids, contracts, and change orders to ensure financial accountability.

Pre-Construction Oversight

· Ensure all pre-construction requirements are met prior to project start.

· Manage timelines related to approvals, inspections, and regulatory compliance.

Vendor & Franchise Partner Management

· Build and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and consultants.

· Provide guidance to franchisees in their construction execution to ensure consistency across all builds.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Partner with Design & Development to ensure seamless transition from design to construction.

· Collaborate with Finance on budget tracking and capital planning.

· Work with Operations on opening readiness and project handoff.

· Collaborate with Facilities to ensure on-going durability of our restaurants.

Reporting Structure
  • Report To: VP of Design and Development


Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

· 8+ years of construction management experience, preferably in a casual dining or multi-unit restaurant environment.

· Strong knowledge of construction processes, site development, industry practices and project management.

· Proven ability to manage multiple complex building projects simultaneously.

· Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire alarm systems.
