Location: Virginia
Travel: Regional travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic required
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: Starting around $90,000 annually, with flexibility based on experience and qualifications
Overview
We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations for miscellaneous metals projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is responsible for overseeing installation teams, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating resources, and driving successful project execution in a fast-paced construction environment.
What Youll Be Doing- Lead and support site foremen and field teams on miscellaneous metals installations
- Promote a strong safety culture through training, enforcement, and regular safety meetings
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and job-specific requirements
- Coordinate labor schedules, materials, and equipment for multiple job sites
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to align on project goals and timelines
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates
- Support installation activities including stairs, handrails, structural components, rigging, and finish work
- Apply quality standards throughout planning and execution phases
- Forecast labor needs and assist with staffing coordination
- 10+ years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation or related field
- Strong leadership experience managing field teams and foremen
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW)
- Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and Tekla
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays
