Purpose: The Spider Associate provides hands-on support to ensure materials, parts, and supplies are available where and when they are needed throughout the facility. Approximately 50% of this role is dedicated to local vendors, purchasing, and material runs, including safely operating an Arcamed vehicle, picking up and delivering materials, and maintaining accurate purchasing and delivery records. The remaining responsibilities support material flow, shipping, inventory control, and general manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving box truck or van for local vendor, purchasing, and materials runs and managing the gas card.
• Safely operate Arcamed vehicles and uphold vehicle policy.
• Identify and move fabricated and machined parts to the appropriate area.
• Use and maintain cover sheets, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
• Support the Spider Team Lead in creating Purchase Orders (POs) and tracking materials and operations within the ERP system (Sage).
• Provide support for shipping preparation, including familiarity with major carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, Old Dominion) and international shipping is preferred.
• Perform other related tasks as needed to ensure efficient outbound workflow.
• Perform miscellaneous labor and assist in manufacturing as needed.

Credentials and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Has a valid Indiana drivers license and can pass a driving record check.
• Ability to follow GPS for directions.
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar manufacturing, logistics, or materials handling environment preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions on manufacturing drawings and job travelers.
• Comfortable using ERP systems (e.g., Sage); Microsoft Office experience required.
• Familiarity with shipping processes and carriers is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Willingness to learn all necessary processes, read routings, and sign off on daily tasks
