Job Description
Summary:
This position requires an understanding of procurement practices, processes and systems as they relate to project execution. This individual may be assigned as the lead coordinator on one or more projects supporting multiple disciplines.
Specific duties will include:
- Coordinating, MTO checking and entering bills of materials in support of isometric issues.
- Coordinating and entering material specifications in support of specification engineers.
- Ability to perform consistency checks between pre-buys and BOM requirements in Marian using BOM work packages.
- Building where conditions for requisitioning, forecasting, bom work packages, etc.
- Building Site Work Packages in preparation for forecast runs.
- Supporting site construction allocation and forecasting of piping isometrics, shop fabrication spools, structural mark pieces, tagged valves, pipe supports, etc.
- Knowledge of engineering codes and standards (e.g. ASME, MSS, API, ISA, IEEE) will be helpful in effectively performing the requirements of these positions.
The candidate must be able to work with their direct management, requiring minimal supervision as well as able to communicate effectively with project management, project procurement, the business units and end users.
Understanding of the following work processes for this position is needed:
Engineering materials management starting with material specifications, material requirements from bills of materials through requisition releases, and site construction materials forecasting and allocation.
Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required and the ability to learn about formulas and macros.
