Job Description
Asset Coordinator
General Scope:
The Asset Coordinator is responsible for tracking, managing, and optimizing the utilization of equipment and assets across field operations. This role ensures that all equipment is properly allocated, maintained, and compliant with safety and operational standards to support efficient operations.
Key Expectations:
Coordinate the movement, allocation, and tracking of frac equipment (pumps, blenders, sand silos, hydration units, etc.) .
Maintain accurate records of asset location, status, and utilization in tracking systems (e.g., BASIS or internal databases).
Work closely with field supervisors, maintenance teams, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and availability of equipment.
Monitor equipment uptime/downtime and communicate issues impacting operations.
Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
Assist in inventory management, including parts, consumables, and equipment counts.
Support mobilization and demobilization of frac spreads.
Generate reports on asset utilization, performance, and cost efficiency.
Identify opportunities to improve asset efficiency and reduce downtime.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (Logistics, Business, or related field)
2+ years of experience in oil & gas operations, logistics, or asset coordination (frac experience preferred)
Strong understanding of hydraulic fracturing equipment and field operations
Experience with asset tracking systems or ERP software (e.g., SAP)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data tracking/reporting
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand continuously.
Ability to kneel, squat, push/pull, reach (including overhead), grasp/squeeze and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to climb stairs/ladders and walk occasionally.
Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
