General Scope:

The Asset Administrator is responsible for the tracking, coordination, utilization, and readiness of surface pressure control and flowback assets supporting field operations. This role ensures equipment is properly allocated, maintained, inspected, and available to meet operational demands while maintaining compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, field personnel, maintenance, and logistics teams to maximize equipment utilization, minimize downtime, and support safe and efficient job execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the movement, allocation, and tracking of surface pressure control and flowback equipment, including frac valves, flow iron, manifolds, chokes, separators, sand traps, and related pressure control assets.
  • Maintain accurate asset records, including location, status, inspections, certifications, maintenance history, and utilization within asset tracking systems (BASIS, ERP systems, or internal databases).
  • Work closely with Operations, Field Supervisors, Dispatch, Maintenance, and Logistics personnel to ensure equipment availability and on-time delivery to customer locations.
  • Monitor equipment utilization, uptime, downtime, and operational readiness to support continuous field operations.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspections, pressure testing, recertification, and repair schedules to maintain compliance and operational reliability.
  • Ensure equipment documentation and asset records comply with company policies, customer requirements, DOT regulations, and applicable safety standards.
  • Assist with inventory management of equipment, spare parts, consumables, and critical components to support operational continuity.
  • Support mobilization and demobilization activities for frac and flowback operations, ensuring accurate asset accountability and tracking.
  • Generate and maintain reports related to asset utilization, maintenance status, repair costs, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset tracking processes, increase utilization efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize fleet readiness.
  • Communicate equipment shortages, maintenance concerns, and operational impacts proactively to management and field teams.
  • Serve as the regional subject matter resource for asset management and provide guidance to operations personnel regarding equipment availability, utilization, asset controls, and best practices.
  • Prioritize asset allocation, coordinating interregional transfers, resolving equipment availability issues, and recommending actions to support business operations and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (Logistics, Business, or related field)
  • 2+ years of experience in oil & gas operations, logistics, or asset coordination
  • Working with oilfield services surface pressure control operations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of frac valves, flow iron, manifolds, pressure control equipment, and flowback systems.
  • Experience with asset tracking, inventory management, or maintenance management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and reporting systems.
  • Understanding of DOT, HSE, and oilfield safety standards.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with field and operations personnel.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational demands as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand continuously.
  • Ability to kneel, squat, push/pull, reach (including overhead), grasp/squeeze and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and walk occasionally.
  • Ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
