Position Overview

CooperWorks Ind. is seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent / Inventory Control Specialist to manage procurement activities and maintain accurate inventory levels supporting manufacturing operations. Candidates with laminate, cabinetry, millwork, furniture, or related manufacturing experience are strongly preferred.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

· Source and purchase laminates, substrates, adhesives, hardware, and

manufacturing materials.

· Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

· Develop and maintain supplier relationships.

· Issue purchase orders and track deliveries.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.

· Collaborate with production to forecast material requirements.

Inventory Control Responsibilities

· Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, laminates, hardware, and production

supplies.

· Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.

· Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.

· Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP/MRP systems.

· Coordinate with purchasing and production to avoid stockouts and excess

inventory.

· Develop inventory control procedures that improve accuracy and reduce waste.

Required Qualifications

· 3+ years of purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain experience in

manufacturing.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in the laminate, cabinetry, furniture, millwork, or woodworking

industries.

· Knowledge of decorative laminates, edge banding, substrates, adhesives, and

hardware.

· Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory planning.
