The award-winning Mission Yogurt Inc. is seeking a Food Runner/service support to join our team at Root Down.
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. They ensure that each dish is properly presented and that the correct items are served to the correct tables. Food Runners also assist with the overall flow of service by helping maintain a clean and organized dining area and supporting servers and kitchen staff as needed.
Pay: $16.27 + Tips

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Food Delivery:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure that the food is presented according to restaurant standards, with the appropriate garnishes and condiments.
- Double-check orders to ensure that all items on the ticket are accounted for and correctly prepared.
- Communicate with servers to ensure that food is delivered at the correct temperature and that all special requests or dietary restrictions are met.
- Place food in front of the correct guests, and make sure each dish is accompanied by the necessary condiments or sides.
- Ensure that the guest is satisfied with their meal and address any issues promptly.
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Communicate with servers to ensure that they are aware of when food will be delivered.
- Assist with expediting orders and help manage the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining area during busy periods.
- Notify servers of any issues or delays with orders, such as missing items or delays in preparation.
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
- Support with other duties as assigned by the management team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform in a multi-tasking environment and work creatively with limited resources.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Contributes to a positive work environment through enthusiasm, dedication, and responsiveness.
- Must have an understanding of the general flow of a restaurant and bar.
- Availability and willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion
