Position Summary

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands on technology support across our growing organization (approximately 90+ employees, approximately 100 workstations, and 5 locations, with more growth expected). This role is the first point of contact for day to day technology issues, including computers, printers, scanners, and WiFi, and also supports new employee equipment setup, coordinates with our phone (VOIP) and access control vendors on user level administration, and helps set up audio/visual equipment as we upgrade our office technology. Some regular travel between company locations is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners for employees across all locations.

• Set up and configure new computers and equipment for new hires and role changes.

• Diagnose and resolve WiFi and general network connectivity issues at each site.

• Administer day to day phone system changes (add, remove, and reassign lines/extensions) through our VOIP vendor's (Star2Star) portal; coordinate with the vendor on service issues or new line orders.

• Provision and deactivate employee access control badges/cards in coordination with our security systems vendor.

• Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of TVs, displays, and related AV equipment, including support for an upcoming companywide AV/technology upgrade (hardware and wiring provided by vendors/contractors).

• Maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware, peripherals, and software licenses.

• Support conference room and meeting technology.

• Travel to company locations as needed to provide onsite support (estimated [X]% travel).

• Coordinate with outside vendors (VOIP, access control, AV, hardware) on orders, service tickets, and installations.

• Document recurring issues and solutions; help maintain basic IT procedures and an equipment/ticket log.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar role.

• Working knowledge of Windows OS, common office hardware (printers/scanners), and basic networking/WiFi troubleshooting.

• Comfortable learning and administering vendor hosted systems (VOIP portal, access control software); prior experience with VOIP or access control systems is a plus, not required.

• Basic AV setup experience (connecting and configuring displays, media players, conferencing equipment) is a plus.

• Associate's degree in IT or related field, relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+), or equivalent hands on experience.

• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; able to travel between company locations.

• Able to lift and move IT equipment, up to about 50 lbs.

Benefits

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• Life insurance

• Paid time off

• Paid volunteer time

• 401(k)

What Success Looks Like

• Employees get fast, reliable support so downtime is minimized across all locations.

• New hires have working equipment ready on day one.

• Phone lines, badges, and AV requests are handled promptly through the right vendor channel.

• Equipment inventory stays accurate as the company adds locations and headcount.
