As the Banquet Manager, you will lead and inspire our banquet operations team in delivering world-class service across our 70,000 sq. ft. venue. You will oversee event execution from set-up to tear-down, ensuring flawless client experiences, operational efficiency, and adherence to our award-winning service standards.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESEvent & Operations ManagementForecast and determine future business, staffing, and workload needs based on sales and event specifications.
Manage and direct banquet setups, ensuring function rooms meet exact layout and service standards.
Conduct pre-function meetings with client group leaders to address last-minute requests or setup modifications.
Ensure seamless service execution throughout events, delivering exceptional dining and guest experiences.
Oversee post-event operations, including equipment teardown, inventory control, and sanitization/cleaning protocols.
Supervise, train, and mentor banquet team members to foster professional growth and continuous improvement.
Recognize and reward team members who exceed guest expectations.
Lead by example, actively participating in service operations during high-volume periods.
Foster a positive team culture embracing company initiatives: O’Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, Health & Wellness, and Safety.
Assist in maximizing revenues and managing labor and operational costs effectively.
Conduct regular inventory checks of all banquet equipment and supplies.
Enforce adherence to security, safety, emergency, and energy conservation protocols.
Maintain strict compliance with all company policies and procedures.
High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience required.
1+ years of hospitality, banquet, or convention space experience preferred.
Leadership & Communication: Strong organizational, management, and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional demeanor.
Problem-Solving: Ability to spot and resolve issues quickly with diplomacy, tact, and composure under pressure.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and event management tools.
Adaptability: Exceptional multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule: Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules.
Physical Demands: Medium work—ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, up to 30 lbs frequently, and up to 10 lbs constantly. Requires significant standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout shifts.
Work Environment: Primarily indoor convention/hotel environment (75%+ of time).
