Job Description
DIRECT HIRE: As a CNC Mill Machinist II, you will operate all types of CNC Milling machines under the direction of the area supervisor or Lead Person.
Manufacturing – Machinist II (CNC Turn) | Direct Hire | Superior Skilled Trades
📍 Location: South Windsor, CT
💰 Hourly Rate: $28–$35/hour (based on experience)
🎯 Annual Performance Bonus Eligible
🕒 Schedule: 1st Shift (7AM – 3:30PM), M - F, + OT
Weekly Hours: FT

Weekly Hours: FT
Responsibilities:
- Performs set-ups and operates CNC mill machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed
- Makes all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches
- The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application
- Inspects work for all dimensional features as required
- Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements
- Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company policy
- Performs duties always exercising good machining practices
- Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets
- Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary
- Assists new and less experienced operators as requested
- Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years machinist experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
- Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches
- Must have demonstrated mechanical ability
Physical Requirements:
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds
