The AVP, Consumer Strategy will lead enterprise-wide consumer and growth strategy for specialized healthcare populations, with a focus on D-SNP and C-SNP products. This executive-level role will shape the full member journey, from acquisition and product design through engagement, retention, experience, and outcomes. The position will translate consumer insights, market intelligence, and analytics into actionable growth strategies. Working across Product, Actuarial, Marketing, Clinical, Digital, Sales, and Member Experience teams, the leader will drive alignment and execution. The role offers significant visibility and influence within a complex, highly regulated healthcare environment. Success will require a strong balance of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, stakeholder leadership, and consumer-centric innovation.
Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide consumer strategies for D-SNP and C-SNP products, supporting membership growth, engagement, health outcomes, and overall business performance.
Own the end-to-end consumer strategy across acquisition, enrollment, product and benefit design, engagement, retention, customer experience, and service delivery.
Partner with Product and Actuarial teams to develop differentiated product, benefit, and experience strategies that balance consumer needs, market dynamics, and financial performance.
Use consumer insights, data, analytics, market intelligence, competitive research, and financial modeling to identify growth opportunities and guide strategic decisions.
Collaborate with Clinical and quality-focused teams to advance strategies that improve health outcomes, member satisfaction, engagement, and quality performance.
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Digital, Member Experience, and Customer Service teams to strengthen strategies throughout the member lifecycle.
Establish measurable objectives and key results (OKRs), monitor progress, and promote accountability across strategic initiatives and cross-functional teams.
Develop executive-level analyses and presentations that synthesize complex information, frame strategic challenges, and communicate clear recommendations.
Lead market research and strategic assessments, including hypothesis development, industry benchmarking, competitive analysis, and business case development.
Partner with senior executives and enterprise leaders to maintain strategic alignment and drive successful implementation of high-priority initiatives.
Mentor and develop direct reports and project teams while fostering collaboration, agility, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA, MPH, MHA, or other advanced degree is preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in product management, strategy development, business transformation, consumer strategy, growth strategy, customer experience, or related leadership roles within complex, matrixed organizations.
Demonstrated success developing and executing growth strategies that improve membership, engagement, customer experience, and business performance.
Experience leading enterprise-level initiatives and building alignment among senior executives and diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to present complex analyses, insights, and strategic recommendations clearly and persuasively.
Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience translating data and market insights into business decisions.
Proven leadership experience, including mentoring, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
Ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with business leaders, functional partners, and senior stakeholders.
Experience leading agile, cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise objectives in dynamic environments.
Healthcare, health insurance, consumer services, or other highly regulated industry experience is preferred.
Strong strategic judgment, business acumen, collaboration skills, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
Base salary range of $203,400–$279,800 per year, with actual compensation varying based on location, experience, skills, education, certifications, and other job-related factors.
