This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP BASIS Administrator based in the United States.
As a SAP BASIS Administrator, you will manage the technical foundation supporting critical SAP environments, ensuring strong availability, performance, security, and reliability. You will oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, monitoring, and ongoing administration across SAP platforms. The role covers SAP NetWeaver ABAP/Java, HANA, SQL Server, BI/BOBJ, and related infrastructure. You will also manage transport landscapes, system monitoring, database operations, and technical troubleshooting. Working as a technical subject matter expert, you will help resolve complex system issues in a demanding environment with 24/7 operational requirements. - Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain SAP NetWeaver ABAP/Java systems and BI2025/BOBJ environments, ensuring reliable and secure system operations.
- Monitor and optimize SAP system performance, including load balancing and application server and database resource utilization.
- Manage Solution Manager ChaRM and the Transport Management System (TMS), coordinating the movement of changes across development, quality assurance, and production landscapes.
- Perform SAP HANA and SQL Server database administration activities, including monitoring, backups, restores, and ongoing database health management.
- Monitor system availability and proactively identify technical issues that could affect performance, reliability, or business operations.
- Troubleshoot SAP system errors, dumps, connectivity issues, SAP GUI problems, and network-related incidents, serving as a technical subject matter expert for complex issues.
- Support SAP environments across Linux, Unix, and Windows server platforms, including relevant cloud infrastructure and AWS environments.
- Contribute to system monitoring, configuration, documentation, and technical improvements across the SAP landscape.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Bring at least 8 years of proven SAP BASIS administration experience, including hands-on experience with SAP HANA and SQL Server.
- Have practical familiarity with HANA Cockpit and HANA Studio, as well as Solution Manager configuration, including ChaRM, system monitoring, and document management.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows server environments, with familiarity with AWS.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and work effectively under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.
- Be a U.S. citizen, as required for the position.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP services and landscape design, SAP S/4HANA Cloud or On-Premise environments, DevOps principles, API management, SAP SAC, and SAP Cloud Connector is preferred.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate certifications in SAP HANA and/or System Administration are preferred.
- Under the applicable contract requirements, male candidates born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with the Selective Service System or have an applicable waiver as a condition of employment.
- Proposed national salary range of $90,300–$189,600, with final compensation influenced by factors including location, applicable federal contract requirements, prior experience, skills, education, and certifications.
