About the Role:
The Retail Inventory & Operations Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless management of inventory and operational processes across retail locations within the United States. This position is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, and coordinating with supply chain and store teams to meet customer demand efficiently. The role requires strategic planning to minimize shrinkage, reduce excess inventory, and improve overall operational workflows. The Retail Inventory & Operations Lead will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and support business growth objectives. Ultimately, this position ensures that retail operations run smoothly, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and profitability.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail inventory management or retail operations.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and retail point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multi-location retail environment.
- Certification in supply chain or inventory management (e.g., APICS, CPIM).
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Retail.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and operational efficiency projects.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and compliance regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor inventory levels across multiple retail locations to ensure optimal stock availability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and store management teams to forecast demand and plan replenishment schedules.
- Lead operational audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory integrity and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline inventory management and retail operations.
- Train and support retail staff on inventory control procedures and operational best practices.
- Analyze inventory data and operational metrics to generate reports and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Coordinate with loss prevention teams to minimize shrinkage and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Oversee daily operational activities to ensure adherence to company standards and customer service excellence.
