This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full-stack Engineer based in United States.
This role offers the opportunity to build and improve customer-facing software across the frontend, backend, and data integration layers.
You’ll work across Ruby on Rails services, modern web interfaces, APIs, and interconnected data systems.
The position combines hands-on engineering with end-to-end ownership of features from concept through production release.
You’ll help create reliable, intuitive experiences where product quality, trust, and operational safety are especially important.
Experience with customer-facing AI products will be particularly valuable as you contribute to emerging AI-driven user experiences.
Working closely with product, design, and QA teams, you’ll help turn technical and product requirements into impactful solutions.
You’ll join an employee-owned environment that values innovation, collaboration, autonomy, and long-term growth.
- Build, maintain, and enhance backend services and web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Develop customer-facing frontend experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks, with React preferred.
- Design, implement, and support integrations with internal platforms, external APIs, and data services.
- Translate product and technical requirements into well-scoped, testable engineering changes.
- Own features across the full stack, including data modeling, service logic, UI behavior, testing, and production support.
- Write clear, maintainable code supported by appropriate automated test coverage.
- Troubleshoot bugs, production incidents, integration failures, and data inconsistencies across systems.
- Participate in technical planning, estimation, code reviews, and iterative delivery processes.
- Collaborate with QA, product, and design teams to improve usability, reliability, and release readiness.
- Document systems, implementation decisions, edge cases, and operational considerations.
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building and maintaining Ruby on Rails applications in production environments.
- Solid experience working with APIs, data transformation, third-party integrations, and debugging cross-system behavior in production.
- Strong understanding of relational data modeling, debugging practices, and data flows across interconnected systems.
- Experience developing frontend applications with modern web technologies; React experience is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, containers, and modern software delivery practices.
- Ability to take ownership of work from initial concept through release, including testing, iteration, and follow-through.
- Experience building or supporting customer-facing AI features or products, particularly where trust, clarity, and safety influence product design and implementation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-engineering stakeholders while clearly explaining technical tradeoffs.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $120,000–$140,000.
- Strong healthcare benefits.
- Employee ownership, with company stock awarded in addition to salary.
- Professional yet casual, resource-rich working environment.
- Flexible opportunities to work remotely.
- Entrepreneurial energy and access to emerging technologies without the volatility typically associated with startups.
- Collaborative culture that values creativity, knowledge, expertise, and individual contribution.
- Opportunity to work alongside passionate, intelligent, and supportive teammates.
- A long-term growth environment where employees can share in the success they help create.
