Origin Investigations Inc. is expanding its nationwide investigative network and is seeking two Part-Time Field Investigators in each U.S. state to support ongoing field assignments associated with a federal contract.

We are specifically seeking current and former law enforcement professionals who are interested in flexible, part-time investigative work that allows them to put their training, judgment, communication skills, and field experience to use.

This opportunity is ideal for active law enforcement professionals seeking supplemental part-time work, as well as retired or former police officers, sheriff's deputies, detectives, state troopers, investigators, corrections professionals, probation/parole officers, military police, and others with relevant law enforcement or investigative experience.

Compensation: $25–$30 per hour, based on experience and assignment.

Schedule: Part-time with flexible hours.

Location: Nationwide — hiring two investigators in each U.S. state.

• Conduct assigned field investigations and wellness checks within your local geographic area.

• Conduct professional in-person visits and interactions as required by each assignment.

• Gather and document relevant information through interviews, observations, research, and other approved investigative methods.

• Prepare accurate, objective, and detailed reports documenting investigative activities and findings.

• Capture photographs and other documentation when required by the assignment.

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with individuals, families, clients, and members of the public.

• Complete assignments independently while meeting established deadlines, documentation requirements, and quality standards.

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with Origin Investigations policies, applicable regulations, and assignment-specific procedures.

• Communicate promptly with Origin Investigations regarding completed assignments, concerns, or situations requiring escalation.

• Current or former law enforcement experience strongly preferred.

• Relevant backgrounds may include police officers, sheriff's deputies, detectives, investigators, state troopers, corrections professionals, probation/parole officers, military police, federal law enforcement, or similar investigative/public-safety experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Strong observation, interviewing, communication, and documentation skills.

• Sound professional judgment and the ability to interact effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Comfortable using smartphones, computers, email, and other basic technology required to document assignments.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Ability and willingness to travel locally within an assigned geographic area.

• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and company training.

• Must meet any additional requirements applicable to assigned work.

• $25–$30 per hour, based on experience and assignment.
