Position Overview


We are looking for a highly reliable and detail-oriented Laboratory Logistics Assistant to join our expanding team. In this role, you will support critical daily lab operations, including processing incoming sample shipments, confirming sample identities, labeling and barcoding containers, performing basic liquid handling (aliquoting), and coordinating sample returns or disposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sample Intake & Inspection: Unpack packages upon arrival, verify sample IDs against manifests, and evaluate sample condition.
  • Barcoding & Labeling: Generate and accurately attach barcode labels to tubes, vials, and specimen holders.
  • Sample Preparation & Aliquoting: Dispense measured volumes of liquid samples into smaller containers using automated equipment or manual pipettes.
  • Sorting & Routing: Sort and prepare samples for distribution to designated testing departments or client categories.
  • Logistics & Disposal Management: Package and process samples for return delivery to clients or handle standard disposal following set protocols.
  • System Tracking & Data Entry: Use standard computers and barcode readers to log sample tracking information, status updates, and shipping records.
  • Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized receiving station stocked with necessary lab supplies.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Shift Commitment: Ability to work the 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM schedule reliably.
  • Basic English Proficiency: Capability to read and interpret English alphanumeric IDs, tags, and standard lab labeling.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus required to accurately identify minor differences in numbers, letters, and barcodes
  • Dexterity & Physical Demands: Fine motor skills for handling small lab tools, caps, and test tubes repeatedly; ability to lift small to medium shipping containers.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ability to follow SOPs and established quality control procedures accurately.
  • Laboratory Safety: Ability to follow laboratory safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly with laboratory and logistics teams.


Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Heavy Lifting: Capability to safely handle, carry, and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Controlled Climate: Comfort working throughout full shifts within a cooled lab setting kept near 19°C (66°F).
  • Mobility & Endurance: Physical endurance to remain standing, walk, bend, reach, and complete continuous routine motions over long periods.

The pay range for this role is:
