Position Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Field Technician able to work on computer networks for various clients in our South Florida location. The position is both onsite and remote depending on the customer's needs and ticket requirements. You could be assisting one of our System Engineers or Service desk Members on a customer project or deploying a new machine to a user at one of our customer locations. You will be responsible for supporting our clients’ users to perform their day-to-day activities.

Your success will be measured by time management, your documentation of what you did while working, your communication ability, and work performance. You will have a weekly goal to meet tickets closed, tickets open, billable utilization, and number of process reminders. Our most successful techs are the ones who understand that before I can begin something else, i need to leave what i am working on, complete, and documented.

We typically work around 40 hours per week, although sometimes we work longer and later. (In IT support, things can go crazy, and we must work late sometimes.)

Responsibilities:

  • Working with a team of System Engineers and the Service Desk to support and maintain user environments.
  • Support and maintain different client environments onsite and remotely. Including hardware deployments, O365 administration, Printer installation, entry level networking, and other administrative/ technical tasks.
  • Work with the guidance of System Engineers, Service Desk, and your manager to develop best practice solutions.
  • Maintain and Enforce policies for standardizing systems.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous Experience working for MSP preferred
  • Previous experience in workstation support, IP networking, IT, or another related field
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Azure environments
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and related applications like Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with IT networks and their components
  • Broad knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, and tools for LAN and WAN administration
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Easily adapt to new organizations / technical environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A+ Preferred
  • Net + Preferred
  • Must provide own cellphone for work responsibilities
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from client locations.
Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, occasionally stooping, crawling and reaching and manual dexterity
  • May be required to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Requires normal range of vision and hearing
