Loan Servicing & Escrow Specialist in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at First Federal Bank

First Federal Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Loan Servicing & Escrow Specialist to join our Loan Servicing Department.

This position is responsible for the administration and maintenance of escrow accounts, monitoring property taxes and insurance, maintaining loan records, reviewing consumer loan files, and assisting with various loan servicing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor escrow accounts, including property taxes and insurance.
• Monitor non-escrowed tax and insurance records.
• Review insurance policies and related documentation.
• Monitor escrow reports and follow up on exceptions.
• Assist with loan account maintenance and servicing transactions.
• Review consumer loan files for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare, scan, organize, and maintain loan documentation.
• Assist customers with loan servicing questions and requests.
• Process loan payments by phone and assist with payoff requests.
• Maintain compliance with bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Assist with other Loan Servicing Department responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in mortgage servicing, loan servicing, banking, or a related field preferred.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow bank policies and procedures.
