Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract opportunity in a fast-paced inpatient acute-care hospital setting in Atlanta, Georgia. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe mobility, functional independence, and discharge planning.
Responsibilities
Perform physical therapy evaluations and create individualized plans of care for hospitalized patients
Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer training, balance training, mobility interventions, and patient education
Assess functional status and recommend appropriate discharge plans, equipment, and continued therapy needs
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation team members
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Follow all hospital policies, patient-safety standards, and infection-control procedures
Requirements
Active Georgia Physical Therapist license
Previous inpatient acute-care Physical Therapist experience required
Experience working in a large hospital or healthcare facility required
Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Must be able to meet credentialing requirements prior to the start date
NOTE: Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
