  • Support commissioning activities, closeout documentation reviews, verification processes, and deficiency tracking.
  • Create technical briefings, decision-support materials, and executive summaries for stakeholders.
  • Participate in virtual design reviews and support time-sensitive technical review cycles.
  • Maintain high-quality engineering documentation while supporting government advisory activities.

The ideal candidate brings extensive mechanical engineering experience, strong knowledge of HVAC systems, and the ability to deliver clear technical analysis for complex facility projects. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, engineering expertise, and experience supporting technical reviews.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible mechanical and HVAC engineering experience.
  • Must hold a Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical codes, standards, and engineering practices, including ASHRAE and IMC guidelines.
  • Experience producing technical documentation, comment matrices, engineering assessments, and decision-support analyses.
  • Proficiency with common engineering and productivity tools, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required suitability, background investigation, and facility access requirements.
  • Experience supporting federal facilities projects, including planning, design, renovation, or sustainment activities, is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in a U.S. jurisdiction is preferred.
  • Experience with secure, correctional, justice-sector, or other mission-critical facilities is a plus.
  • Familiarity with commissioning processes, facilities operations and maintenance transitions, or energy modeling workflows is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
