Job Description
Position Summary
The Receiving Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, and tracking of incoming inventory while maintaining inventory accuracy across warehouse and inventory management systems. This role combines hands-on receiving functions with analytical inventory control responsibilities to support efficient operations, minimize discrepancies, and optimize inventory performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation.
· Ensure all received products meet quality and quantity requirements.
· Accurately record receipt transactions in the ERP (Epicor)
· Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
· Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics regarding shipment discrepancies or damaged goods.
· Maintain receiving documentation and filing systems.
Reporting & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Support internal and external audits as needed.
· Maintain organized and accurate records for inventory transactions and receiving activities.
Qualifications Required
· 5+ years of experience in receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
· Experience using ERP, WMS, or inventory management software.
· Experience with barcode scanning systems and RF technology.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
· Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
· Experience with inventory analysis.
· Certification in inventory management, supply chain, or warehouse operations.

Physical Requirements

· 8-hour shift schedule; Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:30pm), with occasional overtime.
