Job Description
Purpose of the Position: This position develops and manages the Quality Management System utilized at Electricfil Corporation in order to ensure satisfaction with customers. This includes setting the site’s quality departmental and individual objectives. This position serves as the site Management Representative in Third Party Registrations QMS audits, participates in the Management Review process, and develops and leads various continuous improvement and cost reduction projects. This position has responsibility for meeting budgetary requirements. This position has ultimate responsibility for ensuring suppliers meet or exceed quality requirements, and that customer and QMS third party registration requirements are satisfactorily met. This position has ultimate responsibility for development of associates within the department and ensuring internal compliance to quality requirements. Travel may be required.

Job Duties:
- This position has responsibility for leading the plant quality functions and personnel to safely, responsible, consistently and cost effectively test and produce products that meet all applicable government, customer and company expectations
- This position has responsibility of development and Maintenance of the EFC Quality System (management system). This includes responsibility for reporting on the performance of the EFC Management System (suitability and effectiveness) by means of information presented in management reviews to site management and EFI Quality Director.
- This position has responsibility for conducting process and product audits in order to make sure quality system is applied in all EFC departments according to the standards defined.
- This position serves as a customer advocate and contact point for EFC customers with regard to quality matters.
- Serves as management representative in customer audits and QMS assessments and customer portals.
- Manage or support continuous improvement and cost reduction projects, such as 5S, Visual Factory, and Lean Manufacturing activities.
- Develops and manages departmental objectives, staff, and budget
- Supports other plant department in meeting their department and site objectives.
- Oversee the functions of the Metrology and Development Labs
Authority:
- Full authority concerning quality related issues, including the right to stop processing and/or release of product for valid quality reasons without being “overruled.”
- Authority to authorize customer and independent agencies audits for the purpose of registration.
- Full authority to approve Quality Deviations, submit customer SREAs and PPAPs and approve supplier PPAPs and deviation requests.
- All employees have a quality and safety responsibility; therefore, having the authority to stop work processes to correct quality and/or safety problems, or quarantine items in the appropriate designated area until the issues are resolved.
- The Quality Assurance Manager has the authority to stop the production and the delivery of a product, or a family of products, if the quality of these products is suspect or compromised.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Meeting assigned Quality objectives, cost reduction objectives, continuous improvement objectives and budgetary objectives
- Input into long range objectives
- Obtaining and maintenance of required registrations
- To strictly adhere to company safety and other policies as documented in the employee handbook.
- Responsible for attending/leading all meetings as assigned.
- Adhere to and implement everything in his/her power to achieve the Quality, Safety, and Environmental objectives and reduce the environmental impacts related to the activity of Electricfil Automotive.
Reporting:
- Exchange information with operation manager and production manager regarding any issues/solutions/changes in the quality area.
- Identify and report any safety concerns.
- Escalation of any pertinent issues by way of the assigned escalation process.
Internal and/or external contacts:
- (Internally) Individual will interface with management & all levels of personnel within the organization.
- (Internally) Individual will work closely with the maintenance, engineering, safety, and quality departments
- (Externally) Individual will interface with customer and vendor representatives. This will include participation in customer audits and visits as requested.
- Interfaces with upper-level management personnel, both internal and external to the organization, as well as Third Party Auditors and customer representatives
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in the related field.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in quality department in automotive or equivalent with IATF requirements
- Must be alert, self-motivated and detail oriented.
Special knowledge (languages, IT, etc.):
- Communication/negotiation/meeting facilitation.
- Advanced Computer skills using Microsoft platform preferred
- Strong Statistical background considered as advantageous
- Fluent in business English, IT literate.
