Role based in person Monday-Friday, with flexible 1st shift hours; 45 hours/week average. Occasional weekends as needed.
Position Responsible For:
- Developing, monitoring inspection or quality procedures for new or revised parts; assist in preparing inspection documents for manufacturing (first-article, in-process, final)
- Technical inspection support (visual & dimensional) for Fabricated Parts & Weldments. Assist as needed in routine inspection processes for other divisions as needed
- Work with department/cells leads & production to ID and correct areas of non-conformance
- Programming bench measurement equipment (Virtek, Faro arm)
- Assist with Corrective Action, ECN, RMA, PPAP processes
- Assist in Document Development and updates (Department Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures)
- Assist in maintaining gauge calibration processes & systems
- Assist in resolving/responding to customer issues/complaints (8Ds)
- Provide guidance to operators in inspection methods, applications, or blueprint reading as needed
- Active participation in evaluating quality/inspection process improvements; may be required to make recommendations or modify quality or inspection procedures
- Participate in periodic auditing processes as needed for routine internal assessments, ISO, vendor or customer qualification processes
Starting pay based on prior related quality/inspection experience

Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years experience in a quality control/inspection focused role preferably with exposure to Welding and Fabrication preferred but will consider candidate with experience in a fabrication/welding role that provided experience in inspection processes/ equipment
- Manufacturing partnership mentality
- Prior experience participating in Corrective Action, Rework, PPAP processes preferred but not necessarily required
- Foundational blueprint reading abilities including weld symbols
- Previous experience with process and documentation development or aptitude for
- Must be very comfortable/proficient with computers, Microsoft office, data entry.
- High proficiency in math, problem sensitivity, & critical thinking.
- Strong desire to learn/grow
- Comfortable communicating with team members at any level of the organization, and providing proactive or corrective training to operators, leaders, or other quality technicians
- Team orientated mindset & willingness to be a consistent customer representative
- Able to use/read most standard bench & hand measurement equipment (calipers, square, tape measure, height stand, gages etc.) independently and some prior experience operating or programming bench measurement equipment preferred
- Able to sit, stand or walk for 8-9 hours day
