Senior Account Executive Custom Software

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Account Executive – Custom Software in the United States.

This role is a high-impact, consultative sales position focused on driving new business growth across complex, regulated industries through custom software and low-code technology solutions. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new clients while shaping tailored solutions that address intricate operational challenges. Working across sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and financial services, you will navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles and build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers. The position requires strong outbound prospecting skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. You will collaborate closely with solution engineers and delivery teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and product capabilities. This is a remote-first role with periodic travel, ideal for a strategic and results-driven sales professional who thrives in complex enterprise environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies to generate new business opportunities across manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and financial services industries.
  • Qualify and convert inbound leads using a consultative, value-based sales approach focused on customer needs and outcomes.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery through negotiation and close, ensuring alignment at every stage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and partners within target accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Engineers to design tailored custom software solutions aligned with client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM updates using HubSpot or similar tools.
  • Stay informed on low-code platforms, AI technologies, and industry trends to strengthen sales positioning and credibility.
  • Partner with sales leadership to contribute to strategy development and execution of growth initiatives.
  • Ensure disciplined sales execution through consistent follow-up, pipeline hygiene, and opportunity management.
  • Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned by sales leadership.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a strong track record of new business development.
  • At least 1+ year of experience selling custom software, technical platforms, or professional services (non-off-the-shelf solutions).
  • 3+ years of experience selling into industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, construction/AEC, or financial services.
  • Proven success in outbound prospecting and managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong consultative selling, discovery, and qualification skills.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong self-management skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, Challenger, or Sandler is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational workflows in target industries.
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with senior stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Competitive base salary of $100,000–$120,000 with on-target earnings of $200,000–$240,000 including commission.
