As part of its continued growth and organizational development, the company is seeking a Total Rewards Manager to lead and optimize its compensation, benefits, payroll, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) strategies, ensuring an exceptional employee experience while maintaining compliance with industry best practices.
Job Summary
The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company’s total rewards programs, including employee benefits, compensation, payroll, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and related compliance activities.
This role provides both strategic and operational leadership for total rewards management, ensuring programs remain competitive, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with the organization’s business objectives and long-term goals.
The position will also lead a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders while partnering closely with vendors and business partners to develop value-driven solutions that enhance the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
This position performs the following duties in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies, procedures, and guidelines:
- Oversee all payroll policies, procedures, reconciliations, and processing activities to ensure accurate and timely employee payments in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage employee benefit programs, including health, wellness, leave of absence, and voluntary benefit plans, ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations.
- Oversee the HRIS platform and related projects, including system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and implementations, to optimize functionality, security, and end-user experience.
- Ensure compliance with payroll, benefits, and data privacy regulations while maintaining all required documentation, records, and reporting.
- Lead, develop, and mentor team members; establish departmental goals and service standards; and identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and technology solutions.
- Lead cross-functional projects related to compensation, benefits, and Human Resources operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in customer service.
- Prepare and manage the annual total rewards budget, monitoring monthly and year-to-date variances to ensure effective financial management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field required. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in compensation and benefits administration and payroll management is required, including experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and third-party vendor management.
- At least five (5) years of experience managing, configuring, and maintaining HRIS platforms, including system implementation experience.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to employee benefit programs and multi-state payroll administration.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
