Job Summary

As Vice President, Insights & Analytics, you will lead GSTV's Insights & Analytics team. This team is responsible for being category and outcomes experts who bring unique insights to sales and our clients during the pre-sales process and ensure timely and accurate delivery of post-campaign results.

This is a player/coach role. You will personally represent GSTV in client and prospect meetings as a category expert, while coaching the team to operate the same way. You'll also identify new advertising opportunities and help position GSTV to prospective clients in key target markets, using research, analytics, and category insights to open doors ahead of the sales process.

The role is highly collaborative with sales, marketing, product and technology, and owns the analytics that demonstrate ROI and articulate GSTV's story to advertisers and clients. The VP, Insights & Analytics will be instrumental in driving the strategy around our measurement and data partners, including evaluating third-party data and technology partnerships that strengthen targeting and attribution.

GSTV sits at the intersection of out-of-home (OOH), digital, and retail media, so an understanding of each channel's needs and the ability to tailor insights and messaging to each channel is critical.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Organizational Leadership and People Management

Manage the Team: Coach and guide the insights and analytics team to perform at its highest potential, supporting GSTV's cross-functional partners and addressing performance issues as needed.Set Objectives and KPIs: Define objectives and key performance measures for the organization, directing activities in a way that aligns with GSTV's culture and values while delivering results in a timely and cost-effective manner.Improve Team Collaboration and Delivery: Evolve day-to-day processes and culture as needed to enable greater collaboration, faster delivery, and increased impact.Manage Budgets: Draft and manage budgets and financial plans for your department and related projects, in conjunction with the SVP.Oversee Hiring: Lead hiring across your department.

Category and Industry Expertise

Serve as a Category SME: Act as a hands-on subject matter expert in key categories (e.g., CPG, Auto, QSR, Retail), representing GSTV in client and prospect meetings during pre-sales.Tailor Insights by Channel: Tailor insights and messaging across GSTV's OOH, digital, and retail media businesses, since the right recommendation often differs by channel.Partner with Sales: Work with sales during pre-sales to translate category and audience insights into specific campaign recommendations that drive stronger outcomes.Build Playbooks and Tools: Build category playbooks and insights tools that equip the team and sales to lead with expertise rather than coordinate vendor studies.Stay Current: Remain current on industry trends, new technologies, and evolving best practices.Advise Other Leaders: Provide expertise and guidance in the areas above to other leaders at GSTV.Represent GSTV Externally: Represent GSTV at conferences, networking events, and other industry events.

Insights and Analytics Strategy

Own Insights and Analytics Strategy: Develop and continually refine the team's strategy, ensuring it stays aligned to GSTV's broader goals.Align Team Structure to Strategy: Structure the team so its roles and capabilities match what the strategy requires, adjusting as the strategy evolves.Lead Change Management: Drive adoption of the strategy across the team and its stakeholders, managing the transition as roles, workflows, or priorities shift.Manage Partner Mix and Commercials: Ensure the team's data, attribution, and AdTech partner mix is right for GSTV's needs, and that commercial terms with those partners remain favorable.Ensure Compliance: Protect the interests of GSTV, its partners, and its customers by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Define Success Metrics: Establish the metrics that show whether the strategy is working, and use them to course-correct when it isn't.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

· Extensive knowledge related to insights and analytics, including the experience leading, aligning and delegating under multiple strategies and priorities

Proven track record of leveraging analytics and large amounts of data to drive significant business impactExperience working with 3P measurement partners, understanding the various methodologies and which partners to use whenFamiliarity with using 1P data to derive insights or build measurement capabilitiesDeep understanding of how different media is bought, sold, and measured across multiple platforms, including Display, Mobile, TV, Out-of-Home, Social, and other non-traditional mediumsUnderstanding of the data, analytics, and attribution needs of marketers within categories such as CPG, Auto, Entertainment, Retail, QSR, Finance, Travel/Tourism, and Politics is preferredExperience in commerce media or retail media, ideally in the convenience channel, is a plusExperience working with marketers and agencies in a client-facing role, partnering with sales and marketing teamsDemonstrated player/coach ability, acting as an SME with clients while coaching a team through changeTrack record of championing change and effectively managing the implementation of new ideas and improvementsStrong relationship builder who continually finds ways to deepen stakeholder relationships and improve business satisfactionHighly collaborative, with superior listening and communication skills, both oral and written, across internal and external stakeholdersSolutions-oriented strategic thinker who is equally comfortable operating tacticallyAbility to work in a fast-growing, rapidly changing entrepreneurial environmentIntelligence, positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, and a team-oriented mindsetAbility and willingness to travel

Education and/or Experience

Experience:

· 10-15 years of experience leading data, analytics, and business teams within media measurement, marketing analytics, database management, syndicated research, or product leadership functions.

· Background working with media organizations, advertising agencies, client-side marketing teams, or media measurement/research firms.

· Proven success partnering with clients and leading high-performing teams in a player/coach capacity.

· Preferred experience in commerce media, retail media, or the convenience channel.

Education:

· BA/BS degree specializing in business analytics or another relevant field of study, Master’s degree strongly preferred

The pay range for this role is:170,000 - 230,000 USD per year(USA)
