This is a fully remote opportunity for a compassionate Clinical Counsellor to provide accessible mental health and emotional support to clients across Canada. You will deliver short-term counselling and in-the-moment support through phone, video, chat, and email. The role offers the flexibility to choose between day or night shifts and full-time or part-time schedules. You will work with clients from diverse ages, cultures, and backgrounds, addressing a broad range of emotional and mental health needs. The position combines clinical expertise, empathy, crisis management, and thoughtful referrals to help clients access the right level of care. • Provide single-session counselling and in-the-moment emotional support through telephone, video, chat, and email, creating a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to determine client needs and suitability for short-term counselling interventions.
• Provide crisis intervention and effectively manage high-risk situations, working collaboratively with clients and making appropriate referrals when additional support is required.
• Support clients experiencing mental health symptoms, substance use concerns, relationship or family challenges, and other personal or emotional difficulties.
• Apply evidence-informed short-term counselling approaches, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Integrative, or Systemic counselling techniques.
• Develop clear and concise treatment or support plans based on individual client needs and clinical assessments.
• Refer clients to appropriate internal or external resources as part of a holistic approach to care and continuity of support.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
• Participate in ongoing clinical supervision, professional development, training, and initiatives that contribute to a culture of care and clinical excellence.
• Perform additional responsibilities related to the role as required by management.

• Master’s degree in mental health, counselling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Fluency in both French and English, with the ability to provide clinical counselling services confidently in both languages.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct client-facing experience providing counselling or mental health services.
• Experience using clinical assessment tools and delivering short-term counselling interventions.
• Knowledge or experience with evidence-based approaches such as Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, or Systemic counselling.
• Training or experience in crisis intervention and supporting high-risk clients is considered an asset.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing substance use concerns, mental health symptoms, crises, relationship difficulties, or family challenges.
• Strong clinical judgment, active listening, empathy, communication, and rapport-building skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate when managing sensitive or high-risk situations.
• Strong documentation, organization, and case-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with colleagues and clinical support teams.
• Professional licensure is not required for this position; clinical supervision and dedicated allowances are available to support the path toward obtaining licensure.
