Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification
Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash-flow statements
Assist with monthly financial reporting and account reviews
Create and maintain financial dashboards
Organize financial information into clear, easy-to-understand reports
Identify unusual transactions, missing information, or account discrepancies
Promptly report accounting findings and unresolved issues to leadership
Maintain organized electronic and paper financial records
Track outstanding documentation and follow up when information is needed
Support month-end accounting activities and reporting deadlines
Help improve the accuracy and efficiency of bookkeeping procedures
Manage multiple client accounts, assignments, and deadlines
Protect confidential client, financial, and organizational information
Communicate professionally with leadership, team members, and clients
Provide additional bookkeeping and administrative accounting support as needed
What Will Help You Succeed
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments without losing track of important details
Confidence working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities
Ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving and account-reconciliation skills
Professional judgment when handling confidential financial information
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to ask questions, research discrepancies, and follow issues through resolution
Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast-paced professional environment
Required Qualifications
Associate degree, two-year degree, or qualified trade-school certificate in Accounting
Two to four years of hands-on QuickBooks experience
Proficiency in both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Experience recording financial transactions and maintaining accounting records
Experience reconciling bank and credit-card accounts
Ability to prepare or assist with basic financial statements
Strong computer, data-entry, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while following established accounting procedures
Ability to work on-site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Willingness to sign and comply with a client confidentiality agreement
Compensation
This full-time position pays $16.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s education, qualifications, QuickBooks knowledge, and relevant bookkeeping experience.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This position provides the opportunity to expand your bookkeeping experience while working with a diverse group of clients and organizations. You will be trusted with meaningful accounting responsibilities and have the chance to strengthen your skills in reconciliations, financial reporting, QuickBooks, dashboard preparation, and multi-client account management.
You will work closely with senior leadership in a professional environment where accuracy, initiative, confidentiality, and dependability are highly valued.
