Job Description

Senior Accountant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Accountant based in Ireland.

This is a high-impact opportunity to join a global, remote-first accounting organization operating at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets. You will take ownership of critical month-end close and reporting activities across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The role offers significant visibility and requires a hands-on approach to maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness. You will work closely with accounting, finance, and treasury leadership within a lean and collaborative environment. A key focus will be using AI-powered tools to accelerate reconciliations, streamline close processes, and eliminate repetitive manual work. This is an ideal role for an adaptable accounting professional who enjoys building scalable processes in a rapidly evolving environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and execute core month-end close activities across multiple entities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Perform bank account and digital asset wallet reconciliations involving high transaction volumes, leveraging AI-assisted tools to identify anomalies and accelerate reviews.
  • Manage crypto subledger reconciliations between NetSuite and digital asset systems, including maintaining accurate rollforward schedules.
  • Conduct entity-level financial statement flux analysis and prepare detailed horizontal and vertical variance reporting for subsidiaries.
  • Support the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and related footnote disclosures across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready workpapers and support efficient external audit cycles.
  • Partner with Treasury on daily cash and digital asset liquidity monitoring, including funding bank accounts and wallets for accounts payable, payroll, and operational requirements.
  • Execute routine crypto-to-fiat conversions and transfers across banking partners and digital asset wallets.
  • Strengthen accounting controls and develop AI-assisted workflows, making automation and process improvement an integral part of daily operations.
  • Help remediate historical financial data and continuously improve the scalability, accuracy, and efficiency of global accounting operations.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including strong knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to complex accounting areas.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and high-volume reconciliations in a production accounting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar solutions as part of daily accounting work.
  • Proven examples of using AI to shorten close cycles, improve reconciliation accuracy, identify anomalies, or replace manual review processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets.
  • High learning agility and the ability to quickly adopt new systems, accounting standards, technologies, and workflows.
  • Experience supporting external audits is preferred.
  • Experience with crypto subledger tools and digital asset accounting systems is preferred.
  • Experience building lightweight automations or AI-powered workflows, such as Python scripts, n8n workflows, or prompt chains, is a plus.
  • A strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to operate hands-on in a rapidly changing environment are essential.
Benefits:
  • Remote-first global working environment.
  • Industry-leading medical, dental, and vision insurance, with coverage varying by country and plan.
  • $1,500 lifetime home-office setup allowance.
  • $200 AI allowance program.
  • $75 monthly internet or phone reimbursement.
  • Flexible time off.
  • Company-issued laptop.
  • Egg-freezing, mental health, and employee wellness benefits.
  • In certain countries, medical, dental, and vision coverage is fully provided for employees and their dependents.
