Fluid Life is seeking a Laboratory Sample Processing Clerk to join our Edmonton laboratory team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to gain hands-on experience in a modern, ISO 17025-accredited laboratory.

As part of our laboratory operations team, you will play a critical role in the receipt, preparation, processing, and management of thousands of lubricant, fuel, and coolant samples received daily from customers across North America.


What You'll Do

As a member of our laboratory support team, your responsibilities will include:

Sample Processing & Laboratory Support

  • Receive, sort, and log incoming samples
  • Prepare samples for laboratory testing and analysis
  • Perform routine subsampling of lubricants, coolants, and fuels
  • Assist with reagent preparation and basic laboratory processes
  • Support routine laboratory activities including filtration and sample preparation

Administrative & Data Management

  • Enter and verify sample information accurately in laboratory systems
  • Confirm billing and sample documentation requirements
  • Maintain sample archives and records
  • Coordinate sample storage and disposal procedures
  • Complete administrative tasks to support laboratory operations

Quality & Safety

  • Adhere to strict quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures
  • Follow ISO-accredited laboratory standards and protocols
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Windows applications
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Preferred Attributes

  • Interest in laboratory, scientific, or technical work
  • Previous experience in data entry, sample handling, manufacturing, or laboratory environments is an asset, but not required

Pay rate starts at $19.75 per hour.
