Construction Superintendent in Ft Walton Beach, Florida at TEL Staffing & HR

TEL Staffing is looking for a Construction Superintendent to work with a family-owned general contracting firm based in Northwest Florida, that has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. The company specializes in building & remodeling both residential homes & commercial structures, including custom homes, renovations, and commercial projects. They are known for their superior craftsmanship & personalized service, due to their strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction solutions, and for maintaining a strong commitment to their customers satisfaction.POSITION SUMMARY:The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day job site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with both the company quality standards & building codes. This role coordinates subcontractors, vendors, and inspections while maintaining effective communication with the Project Manager.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate municipal inspections, material deliveries, and equipment scheduling with vendors.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors to ensure quality performance and adherence to project timelines.
• Develop and maintain overall project schedules as well as detailed weekly work plans for submission to the Project Manager.
• Maintain a daily job site log documenting personnel, equipment usage, site conditions, and progress.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality assurance (QA) standards are met.
• Perform routine safety inspections to minimize the risk of workplace accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager regarding project progress, issues, and timelines.
• Stay current with building codes, construction practices, and safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and site management.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate complex job site activities.
• Familiarity with local building codes and safety standards.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Construction Superintendent is preferred but NOT required.

PAY RATE / SALARY:Starting Salary will be based on your CURRENT level of experienceBENEFITS:
