Description:

Make a Difference in the Moments That Matter.

Mountain Valley of Cascadia is looking for compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our award-winning team in Kellogg, Idaho!

As a CNA, you’re often the person our residents know best. You’re there for the morning wake-up, the conversation at the bedside, the helping hand at mealtime, and the moments when a resident simply needs someone to listen.

At Mountain Valley, we believe great care starts with genuine connection. Our CNAs provide hands-on care while helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life.

If you’re someone who takes pride in caring for others and wants to be part of a team that makes a real difference, we’d love to have you join ours.

Why Mountain Valley?

Being a CNA is hard work, but it’s incredibly meaningful work. We want our CNAs to feel supported, appreciated, and proud of the care they provide. When you join Mountain Valley, you’ll find:

  • An award-winning facility committed to quality resident care
  • A supportive, team-first culture where your work matters
  • Meaningful relationships with residents and their families
  • Opportunities for growth and continuing education
  • A beautiful North Idaho location in Kellogg, surrounded by mountains and outdoor adventure
  • A team that recognizes the important role CNAs play in the lives of our residents

NOTE: Candidates who are passionate about caregiving but not yet certified as a CNA are encouraged to apply—Mountain Valley will sponsor CNA training and cover certification costs for qualified applicants.

What You’ll Do

Provide Compassionate, Person-Centered Care

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, and incontinence care
  • Help residents with eating, mobility, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises
  • Respond promptly to nurse call systems and resident needs
  • Promote resident dignity, independence, comfort, and choice
  • Provide care based on individual resident preferences and established care plans

Monitor & Communicate

  • Take and record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other health information as directed
  • Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff
  • Accurately document care provided
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings as needed
  • Follow restorative nursing and service procedures

Be Part of the Team

  • Work collaboratively with nurses and other members of the care team
  • Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with residents, families, and coworkers
  • Protect resident privacy and confidentiality
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Respond appropriately and efficiently during emergencies
What You Bring
  • Current CNA certification
  • A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to resident care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
  • Professionalism and commitment to resident confidentiality
  • A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others

Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus, but we value the right attitude and commitment to caring for our residents.
