Job Description

E-Central Downtown Los Angeles Hotel is seeking an energetic and results-driven Sales Manager to generate group, corporate, SMERF, association, and event business for our 179-room lifestyle hotel located directly across from Crypto.com Arena and within walking distance of the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, securing group room blocks and event business, and maximizing hotel revenue through strategic sales efforts. This position works closely with Operations, Catering, Reservations, and Revenue Management teams to ensure exceptional client service and successful event execution.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Prospect and develop new group, corporate, association, SMERF, sports, entertainment, and event business.Conduct sales calls, site inspections, client presentations, and networking activities.Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently generate new leads.Respond promptly to inquiries and RFPs.Negotiate group contracts, room blocks, and event agreements.Participate in industry events, trade shows, and local networking opportunities.Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.

Group & Event Management


    Manage group room blocks and catering events from initial inquiry through post-event completion.Sell and coordinate group guest rooms, meetings, catering, and social events to maximize hotel revenue.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, ensuring exceptional service and timely communication.Conduct site tours, client consultations, and planning meetings to identify guest needs and present customized solutions.Prepare and manage contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), rooming lists, billing instructions, and all event documentation with a high level of accuracy.Coordinate all event details with Operations, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Culinary, Revenue Management, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless execution.Review rooming lists, event specifications, catering menus, floor plans, and banquet requirements to ensure operational readiness.Monitor group room block pickup, catering guarantees, event timelines, and changes while proactively communicating updates to internal teams.Oversee event execution to ensure client expectations are exceeded and promptly resolve any issues that arise.Identify opportunities to upsell guest rooms, catering menus, audiovisual services, and additional hotel offerings to maximize revenue.Conduct post-event follow-up to measure guest satisfaction, strengthen client relationships, and secure repeat business.Build and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate accounts, event organizers, and local organizations to generate new and repeat business.
