This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Manager, Data Architecture based in India.

This is a senior technology leadership role responsible for shaping and advancing enterprise-wide data architecture and governance.
You will define data architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and design patterns that enable secure, scalable, and reliable data solutions.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of complex data architecture initiatives, from proof of concept through implementation.
You will help modernize legacy platforms, strengthen data security and compliance, and reduce redundancy across a complex technology landscape.
You will also champion data governance, master data management, advanced analytics, and AI/ML adoption across global teams.

• Define and continuously improve enterprise data architecture standards, guidelines, principles, reference architectures, design patterns, and guardrails.
• Establish and maintain data management policies and procedures covering data models, metadata, governance, integration, quality, security, and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical leadership for legacy platform modernization and the development of scalable, high-performance data solutions.
• Lead and oversee multiple complex data architecture initiatives, from proof of concept through implementation, ensuring solutions meet business and technical requirements.
• Drive data confidentiality, integrity, availability, security, compliance, consistency, and quality across the organization.
• Review existing data architectures to assess effectiveness, compliance, scalability, and alignment with intended business outcomes.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of subject-area data warehouses and authoritative records of reference.
• Champion enterprise data governance and master data management, partnering with MDM and business teams responsible for critical data domains.
• Collaborate with solution and domain architects to establish effective methods for synchronizing and integrating data across enterprise systems.
• Promote advanced analytics and AI/ML adoption by enabling appropriate data foundations, architecture patterns, and governance practices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce data redundancy and improve efficiency through recognized industry practices, standards, and innovative approaches.
• Mentor data architecture professionals on complex challenges involving database performance, scalability, availability, and architecture design.
• Work with external partners to ensure technical solutions and data initiatives meet organizational requirements.
• Lead through influence across global, cross-functional teams while balancing competing priorities, risks, costs, and delivery timelines.

• Bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 10–12 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, data architecture, information management, or related technology disciplines.
• Approximately 7–10 years of experience across at least two IT disciplines, such as technical architecture, solution architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management, network management, or operations in heterogeneous environments.
• Previous experience as an enterprise architect is highly desirable, as is additional training or certification in organizational change management.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-performing teams and delivering complex technology initiatives against challenging objectives.
• Strong expertise in data architecture and modeling, data warehouse technologies, master data management, data governance, and metadata management.
• Experience with data modeling and visualization tools, integration technologies, ETL/ELT platforms, and service-oriented architecture.
• Hands-on knowledge of big data analytics technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or comparable platforms.
• Strong understanding of business process modeling, statistical modeling, emerging technologies, and third-party technology solutions.
• Ability to connect solutions across multiple systems and translate business needs into scalable technical architectures.
• Strong business acumen, conceptual thinking, analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and sound decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
