This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desarrollador AS400/RPG based in Brazil.

This is a senior development role focused on building, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise applications running on AS400 environments.
You will use your expertise in RPG and ILE technologies to deliver reliable solutions aligned with business requirements.
The role combines application development, troubleshooting, system integration, and continuous improvement of existing platforms.
You will work in a structured, collaborative environment alongside technology and business stakeholders.
Your experience will be particularly valuable in improving system efficiency, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
The position offers a fully remote setup for professionals based in Latin America, with a stable full-time engagement.

• Design, develop, and code applications and software programs based on business and functional requirements.

• Maintain and enhance existing AS400 applications, implementing new features and improving established functionality.

• Diagnose, debug, and resolve issues affecting applications and production systems.

• Support the integration of systems across different environments and ensure reliable information exchange.

• Optimize applications and system components to improve efficiency, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Generate and manage deployment passes and RFCs as required by development and release processes.

• Work within Agile methodologies and collaborate with teams using tools such as Scrum and JIRA.

• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of enterprise technology solutions and provide technical support when needed.

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in AS400 development or closely related roles.

• University degree or equivalent higher education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong hands-on experience with AS400, RPG, RPG Free, and CL in ILE environments.

• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications on AS400 platforms.

• Knowledge of system integration and data exchange using XML and JSON.

• Experience with deployment processes, including generation of passes and RFCs.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and project-management tools such as JIRA.

• Intermediate English proficiency for technical communication and collaboration.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a structured approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
