Patient Service Representative/RCMG in Aurora , Illinois at Rush Copley Medical Center

Position Summary

Rush Pediatrics Patient Service Representative proactively ensures an exceptional experience for patients when greeting, checking in, and checking out during their appointment. Responds to general patient requests, schedules patient appointments, conducts appointment outreach calls, faxes. Verifies insurance information, collects payments, and ensures appointments are scheduled properly.

40 Hours per Week: Shift times will vary and are scheduled during the following times: 7:45am-5:30pm (4 days a week), 9:45 am-7:30 pm (1 day a week), 1 Saturday per month 7:45am-12:15pm

Primary Location is Rush Pediatrics Aurora Ridge but will support Pediatrics & Family Medicine Oswego and Rush Pediatrics Aurora as needed.

Position Requirements

• Education and Previous Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
• Hardware/Software Experience
• Practice management/medical billing computer programs.
• Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel)
• Other Characteristics
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and develop applicable policies and procedures (e.g., regarding collections)
• Flexible; able to adapt to change
• Bilingual (Spanish) highly valued
