About the FacilityIsuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina.
This 1-million-square-foot, state-of-the-art production plant, located on more than 200 acres, will feature a flexible manufacturing line capable of producing both internal combustion and electric vehicles.

The Indirect Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities for indirect materials, components, equipment, and services in support of company operations. This contract position supports the RFQ and purchasing process by reviewing requests, coordinating supplier quotations, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
The position works closely with internal requesters, purchasing team members, and suppliers to ensure purchasing requirements are clearly communicated and orders are processed accurately and timely.
Responsibilities- Review Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to ensure required technical information, specifications, quantities, and supporting documentation are available prior to supplier submission
- Communicate with RFQ requesters to obtain missing or clarified information as needed
- Submit RFQs to suppliers and coordinate timely receipt of supplier quotations
- Review quotations for completeness and share supplier responses with the RFQ requester and appropriate Purchasing team members
- Coordinate follow-up with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding RFQ questions, revisions, or outstanding information
- Issue Purchase Orders in accordance with approved purchasing requirements and established procedures
- Track Purchase Orders and delivery status to support timely receipt of purchased components, materials, equipment, or services
- Communicate delivery delays, supplier concerns, or other purchasing risks to appropriate stakeholders
- Support commercial escalations by gathering information, coordinating communication, and assisting Purchasing team members with supplier follow-up as needed
- Maintain accurate RFQ, quotation, Purchase Order, and supplier documentation and tracking records
- Provide general purchasing coordination and administrative support as required
- Perform other duties as assigned to support company and department goals
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related field preferred
- Previous purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related administrative experience required
- Experience processing RFQs, supplier quotations, and Purchase Orders preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing or automotive environment preferred
- Basic understanding of purchasing and procurement processes, including RFQs, supplier quotations, and Purchase Orders
- Ability to review purchasing requests for completeness and coordinate missing information with internal stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate multiple RFQs, Purchase Orders, suppliers, and delivery requirements simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to track deadlines, follow up on outstanding actions, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related business systems
- Ability to learn and accurately use applicable purchasing or ERP systems
- Ability to maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Ability to work independently on assigned responsibilities while collaborating effectively with Purchasing and cross-functional teams
