Material Handler in Exton, Pennsylvania at The Food Source International Inc

Summary/Objective
The Material Handler is a warehouse position responsible for proper picking and return of materials for production operations. The role is critical in supporting production and warehouse efficiency by making accurate movements of material in the warehouse.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Assist with material handling, staging, and movement of goods within the warehouse. *
• Support production with timely delivery of raw materials and packaging supplies.
• Perform labeling, wrapping, and palletizing tasks as assigned.
• Conduct basic inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies. *

Education/ Work Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior custodial or warehouse experience a plus.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Must wear required PPE, including safety boots.

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Supervisory responsibilities: None

Backup: Warehouse Operator

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and handling of materials.
• Work performed in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures.

Work environment/Hours:
• Warehouse Environment including storage warehouse (not climate controlled) and food production areas (climate controlled)
• Equipment type: scales, blenders, metal detection, and other manufacturing equipment
• Must be able to lift 55lbs or greater
• Must be able to stand/climb ladders
• Full-time, Office hours are typically 7:30-4:00pm, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime.
