United Clearing Services, founded in 2021, provides critical vegetation management, emergency restoration services, and right-of-way tree trimming to utility companies across Texas. We specialize in trimming, growth regulation, and vegetation mitigation around utility infrastructure to reduce the risk of damage from wind, rain, rot, and overgrowth. We are currently hiring a Specialized Equipment Operator to operate heavy machinery and specialized tools for utility line clearing and tree removal. This role involves driving trucks and skid-steers, assisting with tree pruning and rigging, and maintaining on-the-job safety practices to protect infrastructure and communities.

Top Responsibilities
- Drive and safely operate utility trucks, skid-steers, and specialized heavy machinery on unlevel terrain
- Trim and remove trees, treetops, and branches by climbing or utilizing an aerial lift under direct supervision
- Load and unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris, and feed materials into a trailer-mounted brush chipper
- Utilize hand lines to safely lower limbs and equipment from the canopy to the ground
- Enforce on-the-job safety practices, safeguarding fellow employees and the public from nearby field hazards
Work Environment
- Full-time role with 1012-hour shifts (may require up to 7 days/week during storm season)
- Demanding outdoor environment requires constant carrying, pulling, heavy gripping, and working around falling limbs with protection
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, squatting, and moving equipment up to 50 lbs
- Withstand extended outdoor exposure to all weather conditions, including extreme rain, heat, sun, and cold
Qualifications
Top Qualifications
- 18+ years old with reliable transportation to and from daily startup locations
- Demonstrated knowledge of heavy equipment operations, small power tools, and rigging gear
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and consistently wear required PPE
- Strong communication skills to report equipment repair needs and coordinate tasks with the Crew Leader
- Willingness to travel away from home to different work locations for extended durations to support storm operations
