Manager Practice I - Kootenai Clinic - Family Medicine - CdA Ironwood
Position Summary
The Practice Manager I oversees daily operations and frontline leadership of an outpatient clinic area, a small practice, or equivalent scope across multiple low-complexity practices. Provides supervision, support, and guidance to ensure efficient operations, high-quality patient care, and achievement of access and quality metrics. Works closely with clinic physicians and staff to maintain and improve service delivery.
Responsibilities
• Oversees day-to-day clinic operations and staff performance
• Ensures optimal patient flow and allocation of resources to meet service demand
• Addresses patient care or service issues as they arise
• Accountable for quality and access metrics
• Works with clinic physicians to maintain and improve support services
• Supervises clinic staff, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Facilitates maintenance, procurement of supplies, and contract services
• Maintains a tactical, on-site operational focus
• Operates with minimal financial accountability
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
• Associate’s degree required
• Minimum 3 years’ related experience required
• Experience in healthcare or clinic operations preferred
Working Conditions
• Must be able to lift and move up to 10 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a sitting position
• Typical equipment used in an office job
• Repetitive movements
