Role Overview
We're looking for a builder.
Someone who loves creating things, solving problems, learning new technology, and making work easier for everyone around them.
This is a new grad role. You don't need years of experience — you need to have actually built things, and you need to be fast. You'll build internal applications, AI-powered tools, automations, dashboards, and business systems used by every department in the company. You'll sit with the people who have the problem, understand it, and ship the fix.
A lot of people here already build their own tools. Part of your job is making those better — more reliable, more secure, easier to use — while also building the more advanced systems that support our growth.
If you love technology, AI, software, entrepreneurship, and solving real business problems, this is a very good first job.
The non-negotiableYou must already be coding with Claude Code in your terminal every day, and working in Cowork. Not "I've heard of it." Not "I've watched videos." You're living in it — you know what a good CLAUDE.md looks like, you've hit the walls, you've figured out workarounds. This is how we build here, and you'll be expected to move at that speed from week one.
What You'll Do- Build internal web applications and business tools
- Develop AI-powered workflows and solutions
- Create automations that eliminate manual work
- Improve and maintain existing internal systems
- Partner with departments to understand needs and ship solutions
- Review and improve apps built by non-technical team members
- Build integrations between platforms and systems
- Create dashboards and reporting tools in looker/big query
- Document solutions and train users
- Continuously learn and experiment with emerging technologies
- Teams move faster because of tools you build
- Manual work is replaced with automation
- Internal applications are reliable and easy to use
- Employees can build solutions safely and effectively
- AI becomes a practical advantage across the company
- Daily, hands-on use of Claude Code in the terminal and Cowork
- Builder mentality — a trail of projects, side projects, and half-finished experiments behind you
- Strong curiosity and a fast learning curve
- Ability to solve problems independently and know when to ask
- Strong communication skills — you can talk to someone in customer service or the warehouse and figure out what they actually need
- Interest in business operations and process improvement
We care more about what you've built than where you learned it.
- Portfolio of projects (GitHub, live apps, anything we can click on)
- Startup experience
- Experience with MCP servers, agents, or automation platforms like n8n
- Experience with no-code or low-code platforms
- Experience building web applications
- Experience with APIs and integrations
- Health Spending Account
- A Calgary office you'll actually want to come into
- Employee discounts on all our gear
- Access to our staff gym
- A team that actually likes what they do
The pay range for this role is:
48,000 - 52,000 CAD per year(Calgary)
